Making Home Affordable is part of the Obama Administration’s efforts to help homeowners avoid foreclosure. If you have fallen behind on your monthly mortgage payments, or are struggling to make your payment each month, it is time to take action and find the help you need. The Making Home Affordable Initiative has programs that can help you:
- Lower Your Payments – Through MHA modifications, homeowners have been able to lower their mortgage payments more than $500 each month, a significant savings for families in need.
- Get Help if Unemployed -MHA has programs that can provide relief to those who are unemployed.
- Lower Your Rates – MHA offers refinance programs to help families get into more affordable and stable fixed-rate mortgages
- Get Help With a Second Mortgage-For those who need help with their home equity loans, HELOCs, or other second liens.
- Get Help With Fallen Home Value
- Exit Gracefully – If homeownership is no longer affordable or the weight of home ownership has become too much to bear, MHA has a program that will help you.
