Great neighbors? Good schools? Fun neighborhood perfect for lots of kids? And looking for storage? You’ve just found the perfect house.
Our Lehi home has three common areas ideal for family time. The family room in the basement is big enough to fit a small visiting army during the holidays. The five bedrooms will give space to everyone. And the basement feels like it goes on and on. Don’t let the size from the front fool you. There’s room to stretch out in this house! It’s the largest plot on a cul-de-sac and backs up to Olympic Park which has swings and slides (out of hearing distance) and access to the Jordan River Walkway. There’s storage, storage, storage with a large shed, shelves in the garage and two rooms downstairs for storing all the stuff anyone could have—including the built in shelving perfect for food storage. And there are two—yep, two—parking areas for the big toys.
We’ve loved the house. Loved the view. Loved the neighborhood—you will not want to miss the street- wide 24th of July party! But our family has grown up and we don’t need all the bedrooms, the great fully fenced back yard and those the trees in the front our children loved to climb, and we’re not energetic enough gardeners to really use the large area in the back yard crying out to be a super vegetable garden once more. And downsizing doesn’t require the large shed in the back or the dog run space at the side of the house and certainly we don’t need all the food storage space with fewer mouths around. Young growing families will love that children can walk to North Pointe Elementary.
We will miss the large master bedroom and spacious walk in closet, the cathedral ceiling and open layout—did we mention missing the view? Sitting on the small hill in the back and the angle of house on the property looking out over the valley and mountains will make your life feel incredibly private. And the large windows downstairs brings in so much light it makes those rooms feel like a daylight basement. But more importantly, we’ll miss the caring neighbors, the evening walks on the Jordan River Walkway, the easy on and off I-15, the quick access to Front Runner and our favorite entertainment–the mile drive to Thanksgiving Point.
We added lovely soft carpet and top of the line pad two years ago in the upstairs living areas and wonderful laminate in the kitchen, and we just put new carpet in the upstairs bedrooms. The shower downstairs is a delight.
This great comfortable home is just waiting to make memories for that family who moves in for years and years to come.
