Wasatch Back: Major Projects in 2025


1. Deer Valley East Village - Deer Valley East Village is projected to have several restaurants, a ski school, including children’s programs, an ice-skating facility and the largest “ski beach” in North America. Upon completion, the Deer Valley East Village will include nearly 1,700 residential units, 800 hotel rooms across multiple properties, 250,000-square-feet of retail and commercial space, and 68,000-square-feet for recreation.

  • Estimated Total Project Completion: 2026-'27 Season
  • New Chairlift Opening January 2025
  • Significant Terrain Expansion in works for 2025 season.


2. Marcella (Tiger Woods Golf Course) - The course will be part of 36 holes to be shared by Marcella Mountain and Marcella at Jordanelle Ridge with private homesites available for purchase at each. Ski-in, Ski-out access to Deer Valley, former host of the Winter Olympics, will be available from the development. Early rendering indicates the par-72 layout will measure over 8,000 yards from the back tees—including a par 5 (the 10th) that could be stretched to over 700 yards and a par 3 (15th) that tips out at 292 yards. Each par 5 would measure more than 600 yards.

Salt Lake County: Major Projects in 2025


1. The Point - Draper - Located where the old Utah State Prison once stood, The Point is one of Utah’s largest and most ambitious redevelopment projects. Set to transform 600 acres into a thriving mixed-use community, The Point will include office spaces, retail hubs, entertainment venues, and expansive green spaces. This project aims to be a centerpiece for innovation, sustainability, and connectivity.

  • Estimated Cost of Project: $3 Billion
  • Features: Office spaces, retail shops, entertainment venues, and residential units.
  • Timeline: Construction is expected to span over the next decade, with key infrastructure, office, and residential projects starting in 2025.
  • 2025 Focus: Initial groundwork and infrastructure development, including new roadways and utilities, as well as construction of a public plaza and initial commercial spaces.


2. Daybreak Master Plan Community - South Jordan - The Daybreak community in South Jordan is undergoing a transformative expansion, featuring a new entertainment district and additional residential, retail, and recreational spaces.

  • Size: Over 4,000 acres of mixed-use development, with new phases adding hundreds of residential units and commercial spaces.
  • Estimated Cost of Project: $500 million investment in upcoming phases.

3. Fourth and Final Phase Salt Lake Airport  - The fourth and final phase, scheduled for completion in 2026, will add 16 gates to the eastern portion of Concourse B, bringing the total number of gates to 94. Other features to include in Phase 4: Updated Greeting Room, 20 High Tech Security screening lanes to process travels 30% faster, 3,600 stall parking garage, Electronic plug ins at each seat in airport, 28,000 sq.ft. Delta Sky club. 

4. Holladay Hills - A master planned mixed-use project located at the former Cottonwood Mall site in the City of Holladay, UT. The Holladay Hills development will include over 600 living units and up to 750,000 SF of office, dining, shopping, and entertainment spaces along with walking trails, central plazas, and a park for gatherings.

Utah County: Major Projects in 2025


1. Utah City - Vineyard Utah City, a massive master-planned community in Vineyard, is set to reshape Utah County with its ambitious mixed-use development. This project aims to create a lakeside urban center featuring residential neighborhoods, commercial hubs, and entertainment districts.
