On Sunday, May 14th, we celebrate Mother's Day, and many restaurants across the state of Utah are offering a variety of buffets and dining specials to mark the occasion. We have compiled a comprehensive list of all the dining options available for Mother's Day this year. Please keep in mind that the information and descriptions provided by the restaurants directly, and prices may not include tax, gratuity, or optional drink pairings. The specials listed are only for Sunday, May 14th, and only restaurants with special menus or dishes are included. Other restaurants may be open with their regular menus. Salt Lake County

  1. The Capital Grille - 40 E. 100 South, Salt Lake City; (385) 419-3888; thecapitalgrille.com - This Mother's Day, The Capital Grille is inviting guests to join them for a special chef-prepared brunch in a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, complete with a complimentary rose for Mom. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the menu features unique dishes exclusively available on this occasion. These include a delectable lobster frittata made with butter poached lobster tails, a 14-ounce bone-in dry aged New York strip with eggs, and an 8-ounce center cut filet mignon served with white cheddar hash browns and specialty blueberry bread. Also new to their brunch this year is a smoked salmon and caviar dish, featuring Royal Ossetra Caviar, crème fraîche, and blini, paired with white cheddar hash browns. Guests can enhance their meal with mimosas, glasses of Champagne, or a selection from their extensive wine list. Younger members of the family will be delighted to find a dedicated brunch menu and additional surprises. The restaurant also offers a la carte dinner options available all day.

  4. Urban Hill - 510 S. 300 West, Salt Lake City; (385) 295-4200; urban-hill.com - Brunch buffet, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Chef Nick Zocco and the team present a menu overflowing with familiar brunch favorites: Charcuterie and cheese boards, smoked salmon, sweet candied yams, blueberry pancakes. The menu includes a cocktail to toast Mom, called For the Love of Honey, a citric sipper made with Espolòn blanco tequila, saffron honey and bay leaf bitters. Cost: $75 for adults, $35 for kids.
