We're thrilled to share exciting news about the transformation of the once-barren vista overlooking Utah Lake. The site that once housed the U.S. Steel Geneva Works is now being prepared to host Vineyard's most significant and sustainable development to date - Utah City. Developed in collaboration between The Flagship Companies and Woodbury Corp., Utah City spans over 700 acres and is poised to become a master-planned community emphasizing sustainability and walkability, setting a new standard for Utah County.

To put its scale in perspective, Utah City surpasses the acclaimed Point of the Mountain development by over 100 acres, marking a significant milestone in the region's growth and progress. Nestled along the eastern shore of Utah Lake, Utah City is designed to be Utah County's largest sustainable, walkable, transit-oriented, and mixed-use community, serving as the vibrant urban core of the county.

Jeff Woodbury, managing partner of Utah City, aptly describes this project as a "legacy development." It signifies a commitment to continually evolve and embrace cutting-edge technologies. Constructing a development of this magnitude from the ground up is a rare gift, and Utah City's legacy will extend through generations. Nate Hutchinson, another managing partner of Utah City, emphasizes that this development is intended to cater to everyone, from affluent individuals to those in need of affordable housing. Utah City will foster a diverse and inclusive environment where all are welcome. The project took its first significant step with the groundbreaking of 450 multi-family units last week, signaling the commencement of this monumental endeavor. In the coming year, the Huntsman Cancer Institute is set to break ground, solidifying Utah City's position as a hub of innovation and progress. Spanning hundreds of acres along the eastern shore of Utah Lake, Utah City's master plan was designed by Jeff Speck and the town planning firm DPZ. The community will be accessible via Interstate 15, with convenient access from exits at 1600 North, 800 North, Center Street, and the Vineyard FrontRunner station.
