Lehi's 2100 North Freeway: How the New Mountain View Corridor Link Will Change Commutes and Home Values
Last updated: October 8, 2026
The short answer: The 2100 North Lehi freeway is a UDOT project building a 2.8-mile freeway on 2100 North (SR-194) that links Mountain View Corridor to I-15, with a new I-15 interchange at Exit 282. Construction began in spring 2026 and is expected to finish in late 2028. UDOT estimates it will save east-west commuters about 12 minutes each way at peak times.
To make room for the work, UDOT began nightly northbound I-15 lane closures at 2100 North on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, and a shifted northbound traffic pattern is expected to stay in place through May 2027 (UDOT, Oct. 7, 2026).
If you live in Lehi, Saratoga Springs or Eagle Mountain, or you're thinking about buying or selling there, here's what we know, what it means for your drive, and how to think about it as a homeowner.
What is the 2100 North Lehi freeway, and where does it go?
According to UDOT, once the 2100 North project is finished in late 2028, it will have:
- Built a new 2.8-mile freeway connection between Mountain View Corridor and I-15
- Created a new I-15 interchange
- Improved pedestrian and bike connections throughout the area
UDOT's project page describes it as 2.8 miles of new freeway on 2100 North (SR-194) in Lehi, between Redwood Road and I-15, with the I-15 end at Exit 282 (UDOT project page; UDOT, Oct. 7, 2026). In plain terms, this is the Mountain View Corridor to I-15 connection that west-side Utah County drivers have been watching for.
Lehi road construction 2026: what the I-15 closures mean right now
UDOT scheduled nightly lane closures on northbound I-15 at 2100 North (Exit 282) that eventually reduce northbound I-15 to one lane. Here's the schedule UDOT published (source):
| Night | Closures begin | Down to one lane by | All lanes reopen by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wednesday, Oct. 7 | 7 p.m. | Midnight | 4 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8 |
| Thursday, Oct. 8 | 7 p.m. | Midnight | 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9 |
| Friday, Oct. 9 | No closures (lanes stay open for BYU homecoming traffic to Provo) | — | — |
| Saturday, Oct. 10 | 7 p.m. | Midnight | 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11 |
| Sunday, Oct. 11 | 7 p.m. | Midnight | 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12 |
During these closures, crews are shifting northbound I-15 lanes toward the center median. That new space lets the project relocate utilities, build a stabilizing soil wall and start foundations for the new 2100 North interchange. UDOT's project map also notes reduced speeds on northbound I-15 in Lehi.
How long will the I-15 traffic shift in Lehi last?
UDOT anticipates the northbound I-15 traffic shift will stay in place through May 2027. UDOT also reminds drivers that construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change, so check the UDOT Traffic website or the UDOT Traffic app before you head out.
Neighborly tips: If you drive northbound I-15 through Lehi in the evening or overnight, leave a little extra time, follow the posted reduced speeds, and give crews plenty of room.

How will the Mountain View Corridor to I-15 connection change commutes?
UDOT traffic engineers estimate the 2100 North freeway will save east-west commuters about 12 minutes in each direction during peak travel times once it's complete (UDOT, March 18, 2026). Your own savings will depend on where you start and where you're headed.
Lehi
For Lehi residents, a new I-15 interchange at 2100 North and a direct freeway link west to Mountain View Corridor add another way to get on and off the area's main roads. Homes near 2100 North may eventually have a more direct path to both I-15 and Mountain View Corridor. In the meantime, expect construction activity along the corridor through the project's expected late-2028 finish.
Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain
Many west-side drivers rely on Mountain View Corridor and then need to reach I-15. A freeway-to-freeway connection between the two is designed to make that link. For commuters in Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain heading toward I-15, that could mean a more direct route once the project opens. How much it helps any one household will depend on where you live, where you work and your daily route.
What could the 2100 North freeway mean for home values?
We don't have, and won't make up, numbers on how this project will affect prices. Here's the honest, general picture:
- Commute access is one factor buyers weigh. Easier access to I-15 and Mountain View Corridor may make some areas more convenient for buyers who drive to work. It's just one factor, though. Schools, lot size, price, condition and neighborhood feel matter too.
- Construction disruption is temporary. Lane shifts, night work and detours can be frustrating, but they come with an end date. UDOT currently expects completion in late 2028.
- Close to a freeway has tradeoffs. Homes right next to a new freeway or interchange may notice more noise and traffic. Homes a short drive away often get the access without as much of the downside.

Tips for sellers
If you're listing near the corridor, be upfront about construction and share UDOT's published timeline so buyers can see the long-term picture. If you're curious where your home stands today, start with a free home value estimate. Showings during daytime hours may also be more pleasant than evenings near active night work.
Tips for buyers
Visit a home at different times of day, including evenings, and drive your real commute route. Ask how close the home sits to the planned freeway alignment and interchange. When you're ready to compare options, browse homes for sale across Utah County.
Best neighborhoods in Lehi for commuting: how to evaluate them
We won't crown a single "best" subdivision. The right fit depends on your commute. Instead, here's how to size up commute-friendly areas in Lehi:
- Map your actual destinations. Where do you work, shop, go to school and worship? Start there.
- Check proximity to I-15, Mountain View Corridor and 2100 North. Being a few minutes from an on-ramp often hits a sweet spot between convenience and quiet.
- Look at the future, not just today. Keep the new 2100 North interchange and freeway connection in mind when comparing areas.
- Consider transit if it fits your life. If you might take the bus or train, check UTA for current routes and stations near the homes you're considering.
- Test-drive at rush hour. A route that looks great on a map can feel very different at 7:30 a.m.
